What Causes Pink Mark On Thigh?

I was washing my hair in the shower and I felt a sharp pain in my thigh where I happen to already have a lot of scarring and all the sudden it was like beneath my skin ripped open. There was no blood but now there is a pink mark that looks similar to a stretch mark but not really. It no longer hurts but it’s freaking me out. What is it?

Hi.
As per your case history you are purpuric rash on thigh.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 3 months.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, topical steroid cream given only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
