What Causes Pink Colored Urination?

I had term surgery in February, and then developed a bad kidney infection in my right kidney. I have noticed at times that my urine has been a little pink. Today it was a dark bloody red for just a second or to. Have not had reoccurence today but I have, like a dull pain on my left side since.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If you have a term surgery before then what was the reason for that and second thing that chances are that you may have urine infection that leads to ulcers in your urethras. Ultimately ulcer will bleed and gives you red or pinkish color urine. If it doesn't stop within 2 days then kindly visit your family physician and have a look.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nirav Nimavat
