What Causes Pinching Pain In The Vagina?

Hey. I m having a problem with my vagina. Everytime I sit on the floor it hurts. Also if I m laying down, and move to stretch, my vagina feels that someone is squeezing/pinching inside of it. The pain lasts for about 3 minutes after and I don t know what s happening. Thank you for your help!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Pinching pain in vagina could be due to vaginal infection/UTI, contact dermatitis due to microabration, STDs, pelvic floor muscle dysfunction. If the pain is associated with lumps then it could be due to cyst like batholin's cyst.

I would suggest gynecologist and undergo vaginal examination, STD screening, and vaginal swab test if needed. Specific treatment will depend on cause and test result. Avoid stress, wear soft, non allergenic underwear. Take warm water sitz bath. Avoid sweat accumulation, keep the genitals clean and dry, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise like walking and pelvic exercise.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
