What Causes Pigmentation Marks On Lower Lip?

i have some pigmentation marks on my lower lip. there are three brownish spots. one on my finger as well. what it could be? I have read about puetz jeghers syndrom though i dont have any syptoms of gasto intestinal problem or any family history. could it be this syndrom?

i gone through problem, what you mentioned disease is hereditary intestinal polyposis syndrome.In this lesions present at mucocutaneous, on feet and hands.The mucosa of the lower lip is almost invariably involved as well.
Pigmentation is generally, skin darkening or lightening. The lips suffer from Melasma in particular. Melasma is generally prevalent and seen with the Asian skin types. It gives grey, brown and even black spots over the body, and black and grey lips, is something which needs urgent treatment and care. Lip pigmentation can be genetic too.
Do make a habit of applying sunscreen lotion on your lips so that UV rays do not harm your lips and keeps them healthy.
