What Causes Persistent Vomiting With Diagnosis Of Bronchitis In Lung?

My 6yr old daughter was taken to the doctor because for 4 nights in a row she vomited. The PA said he found she had bronchitis in her left lung, but was confused as to why she was vomiting. I m guessing it s from her cough but she didn t cough hard enough to cause such vomiting. Can you shed some light? Thanks.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Bronchitis when associated with excessive cough can lead to vomiting.
This is more common in children.
Management of bronchitis and cough is required at first place.
Bronchitis in a six year old is likely to be allergic, however, clinical assessment is required for look for exact cause.
Cough can be suppressed by cough suppressants like anti-histaminic drugs.
Vomiting needs to be managed by anti-emetic drugs.
I suggest you to consult a pulmonogist for clinical assessment and prescription of drugs.

Thanks and take care
