What Causes Persistent Tingling Sensation In Toes?

I have had left foot pain and tingling for 20 years. However, I recently started to get tingling on my right big toe and second toe. It was exacerbated by a long flights. I also feel better without shoes. I had abdominal surgery in 1981 which did some sympathetic nerve damage(retrograde ejaculation). I also have staples and wires everywhere. Is my pain sensory related or autonomicaly related? Back? Who should I see in New York City. Preferably a neurologist at any Mt Sinai, for insurance reasons.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
I think you should seek help of neurosurgeon. It might be due to nerve compression. The cause can only be assessed after thorough examination.
