What Causes Persistent Stomach Pain Despite Taking Cimetidine And Carafate?
I have been having stomach pain for over a year. I had an abdominal u/s that showed everything as normal. Should I have an EGD completed if the u/s was normal? Or just wait it out. The pain is like a hunger pain but 3xs as worse. No rhyme or reason. Food doesn t help, in fact, after a meal, I still feel hungry. Currently taking 2 Cimetidine, 2 Omeprazole and 4 carafate a day.

You may want to consider imaging such as endoscopy or barium studies to take a look inside the stomach.
The ultrasound would not have looked into the stomach itself.
If this is normal, then the ECG can be considered.
