What Causes Persistent Nausea And Vomiting?

My 13yr old daughter has been throwing up since this past weds. Some things she has kept down, but now she has been throwing up for 45mins, says it feels like a steak knife in her mid section of her stomach....she has thrown up grilled cheese and tomato soup and water...

Hi there....

She might be having gastroenteritis, a stomach bug. Other possibility is acidity /gastritis.

I would advise her to take probiotics , oral rehydration solution. Foods like rice gruel, bread toast, apples might help.

Avoid oily,fatty, spicy and acidic foods. Avoid tomato, lemon, cheese , carbonated beverages, etc.

If the problem is due to acidity, then she might need to take antacids. It would be better is she visits a doctor.
