What Causes Persistent Nasal Congestion, Itchy Eyes And Sneezing?

I HAVE A bad mucas that runs every morning from my nose, itchy eyes, sneezing, this goes on all year, an has been going on for the last 5 years in a row. some time flonaze helps for a few days, I am 67 yrs old, I do smoke 1 pack a day, for 50 yrs. have a little mildue over my bed room, just like dust, not black mold, it where the attic couldn t breath at one time, this is when it started real bad, but it quits when I get up after about 3-4 hours. can you maybe tell me something to take or do ? I AM on a fixed income, medicade an medicare. thank you, Donald Pence

Thanks for the query..

It seems like Allergic rhinitis and can be due to allergic reaction to any known or unknown allergen like pollen, animal danders etc as well as mold can be a cause..
I would suggest you to take anti allergic medication like Levocetrizine or Allegra, take nasal decongestant spray like Xylometazoline, do steroid nasal sprays and inhalers..
You can clean your room and remove mold and any other irritant if present..
Steam inhalations, saline nasal irrigation and using a humidifier can further relieve.
