What Causes Persistent Loose Stools In Infants?

Dear Doc, My Baby girl - 10 months 3 weeks age, is suffering with loose motions from last 10 days. Earlier 5 days she had high fever of 103 and cured with it, but loose motions are still continued. We consulted doc on 5th day she prescribed for Nutrolin B, Taxim-o, Calpol, Zinc vitamin syrup. After fever relief we stopped Calpol and Zinc. We are on Nutrolin B, Taximo-o continuation...but no relief with loose motions, but they have decreased the frequency from 7/day to 4/day. Diet is normal cerelac 4 times a day and top feed milk and coconut water and plain water. Please suggest the better option for LM control.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi, a loose motion for 7 days needs some lab tests like stool routine stool for reducing substances, depending on which the treatment can be suggested.

Currently continue the same treatment. stop dairy products and wheat based food. kindly review with reports.
