What Causes Persistent Headaches?

My son has been having bad headaches for about a week straight now. On Friday Sept 11 it was so bad he hardly got out of bed that day. He never gets headaches. He has never had a concussion and not sick very much in his 22 years. He is in University right now and not sure what I need to tell him. Thanks, deedee walker

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, most of the headaches are functional in origin but looking to age of patient it need to be ruled out for some underlying causes and MRI is advisable if the MRI is unremarkable then it may be Migraine hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
I find this answer helpful
