What Causes Persistent Hair Loss And Dandruff Despite Taking Medication?

I have just started using derma roller with 1 mm needle. i am suffering from male pattern baldness and applyed topical treatment with finasteride and minoxidil combination (More F) since almost 10 years without any significant results. I came to know about derma roller and I have started using same once in a week as advised. I have done it only twice for now. But suddenly I found some skin peeling or dandruff kind of stuffs on my scalp in the area which has been derma rolled. It was never there before. Infact It has cause lot of hair fall with itching. Should I continue with the treatment or stop it? Pls advise. I used to wear the wigg as well.
