What Causes Persistent Fever In A 2 Year Old With High WBC?

My 2 yr 8 month old child is suffering from severe fever since the past 2 weeks. All blood tests and urine culture tests are normal, except for a high WBC count. ENT is suspecting possible ear infection. But that too is not confirmed. We are at our wits end. Fever is hovering around 103-4 degree F. Please help

do a blood culture and start intra venous antibiotics according to the culture sensitivity.
most of the severe infections doesn't respond to oral antibiotics, better to take parental antibiotics.
rule out UTI,viral fevers
