General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I had gone through your query and understand your concern.

Short answer: Throat infection or Tonsillitis, needs to be examined by a doctor.

Detailed answer: Thanks for asking.

You son seems to be having an infection of throat. It may be allergic as he is also complaining of burning eyes. Pain while swallowing is caused because of inflammation of the throat. Pain may also be due to Tonsillitis which is common in this age. He needs to be examined by a doctor to know the exact cause and to put on proper treatment.

To reduce fever tepid sponging using wet cloth will help. Drinking warm water helps in soothing the throat pain.

I hope this helps.

If you have any other query, feel free to ask.

Regards,
Dr.Prathap Kumar
