General & Family Physician, Dr. RS Gulati's Response
Nasal discharge has nothing to do with colonoscopy ?endoscopy. Basically anesthesia / oxygen is not required for these procedures. Nasal discharge must have occurred due to nasal catheter which irritates the nasal mucosa. No drugs are required for this. It will recover on its own in a day or so . You din't tell me about the procedure report. That is more important.
