What Causes Persistent Diarrhea?

71 yo wf....Diarrhea for 2 weeks now...at day 5 routine chemistry drawn...shows elevated LFTs,,more specifically, ALP 432, AST= 91 and ALT 81....all other labs normal. Did receive the flu vaccine. medications include...hormone replacement, and thyroid med, and excedrin

Hello,

According your history the most probably cause of diarrhea and elevated LFT I think are the medications that you use. So, you need to specify the names of medication and to meet a gastroenterologist to clarify the situation. So, you should do abdominal echo and some lab examination (culture of stool, HBsAg, anti HCV, GamaGT), to exclude other pathology.
