What Causes Peripheral Vision?

hi my name is kevin , I am failing peripheral vision test and I cant understand it . I had a small stroke ,my right eye was affected . it has improved I would think 90 per cent.i can read perfectly now which I couldnt ,I never bumped into any thing or people even at night ,played golf 2 weeks after stroke, no problems , one doctor passed for driving said I was within the recommended criteria. on my next visit I was failed by a more senior doctor. after being passed firstly I drove for6 weeks with no problems . iam not disputing the test results I just cant relate what I can see to what she can see on readout.i am 73 and am extremely happy with my recovery. can see both sides of the street, junctions. while looking straight while not turning my head. frustrated .can you understand. thanks

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having loss of peripheral vision.
The common causes causing loss of peripheral vision is glaucoma and retinal dystrophies like retinitis pigmentosa.
Hence this requires evaluation by ophthalmologist to look for the underlying cause and treatment accordingly.
