Hi there, i have had the implant in my arm for around 5 months now having my period only once. For the past 2 weeks or so now i have been bleeding alot while i have been peeing but only when i pee, theres none on my undies when i go to the toilet and it all just comes rushing out as soon as i do a wee.. i was wondering if this is normal? as it is a big amount and not small...
Above clinical features are mostly suggestive of adverse effect of the Implant. They will overcome with the time until body is adjusted with external hormone. Maintain genital hygiene properly.
It has failure rate less than 0.5% per year. However, I suggest you to undergo one home pregnancy test or blood test for beta-hCG to rule out pregnancy or early miscarriage if you are sexually active.
On negative test, one pelvic ultrasound scan and complete hormone profile should be done to rule out pelvic pathology like polyp, PCOD, uterine fibroid, adenomyosis etc.
