What Causes Perforation In Ear?

My Uncle has had a sycopal episode with ear discharge. He can't recognize anyone. His brother is a general surgeon (my other uncle) has given him a shot of antibiotic. He speech is slightly slurred and is having a CT later today. He said that it looks like his ear is perferated also. Do you think that this could be a diease or an infection of the soft issue. We live in the US and they are in Egypt. Thank you for your time!

Hello and welcome to health care magic,

Ear infection may lead to many problems described in your query and also the perforation. Also the trauma can cause both

In any case you need to wait for the CT results to come and only then you can get to a confirmed diagnosis

regards
