What Causes Penis Pain And Yellowish Urine After Having Unsafe Sex?

I started having unprotected sex with a new partner about two weeks ago. About a week or so after we started having sex I started experiencing a slight pain at the top of my penis during urination.The first day was barely noticable, the second day I started to have a little more pain, and by the third day the pain was very bad. My urine is yellow to dark yellow and has a strong oder. I went to the walk in clinic yesterday (day 4) and today they told me that the test came back negative for both chlamydia and gonnorhea. Please help. Thanks.

Hello,

I can understand your concern. The symptoms you are describing indicate towards urinary tract infection when your test results are negative for STDs. It is just a co-incidence that you have had urinary tract infection after having unprotected sex.

You should start taking Levofloxacin 250 mg (Levoflox) twice a day for 5 days. You can combine painkiller and antacid with this antibiotic. Drink lots of fluids and take rest.

The symptoms should subside by the end of 5 days. If they do not subside, you should go for a blood test (complete blood count) and urine culture.
