OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
Some amount of pelvic pressure is natural to be experienced during pregnancy. This is because of the enlarging uterus and the contained fetus. If in association to the pressure, you have difficulty in passing urine with or without excessive and/or watery vaginal discharge, you should check with your attending doctor for any issues. Please take adequate rest preferably in the left lateral position. Do not exert and avoid intercourse to prevent stress. Hope this helps.

OBGYN Dr. Jacqueline Brown's  Response
Hello, and I hope I can answer your question.

Preterm labor can have different symptoms from regular labor. There is no way to assess whether you are in labor without a visit to the hospital to monitor you for contractions. You may also have a vaginal or urine infection with your symptoms, and both can be evaluated in the hospital as well.

So I do encourage you to go to the hospital for evaluation. At your baby's early geatational age, it is best to be cautious.

I hope everything works out and best of luck to you and your pregnancy.

Take care, Dr. Brown
