General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Hi,
Implanon is a hormonal preparation for birth control.
Initially, it can cause side effects like irregular, scanty or profuse bleeding.
Gradually, such symptoms would subside.
Usually after removal of the Implanon, the periods come back to normal within few months.
In case such symptoms become bothersome and does not subside, kindly seek medical attention for evaluation.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
