What Causes Patch Of Itchy Skin On Face After A Miscarriage?
I had a miscarriage about two months ago at twelve weeks. The baby was only measuring 11 weeks and no heartbeat. anyway a few days after the miscarriage I developed a little patch of itchy skin on my face that still has not gone away. I m not sure if it has to do with the miscarriage or not but I think that it does. I m not sure what to do about it. I just want it to go away. Have you ever heard of this before or know what I can do to heal it up?
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
The itchy patch on your face has nothing to do with your miscarriage. I will keep a possibility of either a fungal infection or an allergic dermatitis to some topical produtc that you may be using. A KOH wet preparation taken by scraping a small amount of scale to look for fungal elements would be helpful in either confirming or ruling out a fungal infection. Other possibilities for an itchy patch of skin on face are either a polymorphic light eruption (PMLE) which is in response to UV light Or it could possibly be a patch of Pityriasis rosea. I suggest you to visit a dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis as well as appropriate prescription.
