I have a friend that fell and broke his ankle a few weeks ago and he was found to have severe hyponatremia. He now is paralysed and will never walk again.Dont know if the fall caused other injuries that was the cause of the paralysis or could severe hypo natremia cause paraylsis in some cases?

hi
thanks for using HCM
as your friend has history of fall it may be possible that he may have sustained head injury leading to paralysis. Also acute onset severe hyponatremia itself can cause swelling of brain tissue leading to paralysis and other sequel.
thanks
