What Causes Palpitations With Blood Pressure Despite Taking Benicar?
Hi there - I take Benicar for my HBP - however recently my diastolic pressure has been over 105 for several days, and I am experiencing severe headache and racing heart - should I see a doctor or double up on my Benicar? I was out with my kids the other day and became upset over something - the pain shot up my back to my head and it felt like my head was going to explode for days - I went to donate blood and found after 3x s taking the pressure it was consistantly 124-130 over 104 to 106. It has remained the same for days now.

You can certainly double the dose, but before this type of isolated diastolic high blood pressure responds well to salt restrictions and exercises, reducing weight if you are overweight.
Also thyroid test and kidney function test Along with urine protein test should be done.
