What Causes Palpitations Along With Tight Sensation In The Neck?
I have a feeling like my heart is beating fast and sometimes it is accompanied by a throbbing up the side of my neck and a tightness in my neck and chest. I also seem to yawn excessively while this is happening. It is always when I am sitting down at work or in the evenings when I am watching TV or when I get in bed. If I am up and active it does not occur.

In my opinion throbbing with palpitations may be due to anxiety/hypothyroidism.
Yawning may be due to hypoglycemia.
Chest tightness may be due to reflux.
It is advisable to get your thyroid hormones and blood sugar levels checked.
