What Causes Palpitation Of The Heart After The Alcohol Intake?

Hello, i hope you can help. If i eat any type or amount of food and then drink alcohol within 10mins - 3/4 hours i get palpitations and a beet red face/neck/chest and arms, feeling very lethargic and ill. It lasts for about an hour or two. If i don't eat or wait for at least 4 hours after eating it generally does not happen. I am 24, British Caucasian. Medium weight and build. I have researched but not found anyone with the same problem? (Food + alcohol intolerance) Thanks

Palpitations are pretty much everyone. Alcohol has a few effects. Changes in fluid level and electrolytes, mild elevation of blood pressure and heart rate. You don't talk to many Asians. In the majority of Asians there is a lack of a metabolic enzyme that breaks down alcohol fully. Acet aldehyde builds up and causes flushing and palpitations.
