What Causes Painless Growth Under The Skin On Right Side Of The Abdomen?

STANDING UP, i NOTICE a protusion in my lower abdomen, right side. It feels like an oval-shape in my lower intestine. Upon laying down on my back it is unnoticeable. Never hurts, not hard to the touch ; sometimes its not there at all. What could this be? Normal feces build-up?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is not likely due to stool because this would normally be seen on the left side of the abdomen.

It is possible that the mass may be due to a protrusion of fat in the area or due to a mass such as a lipoma (non cancerous).
If it is in the inguinal region, a hernia may need to ruled out.

It may be best to see your doctor for examination of the abdomen.

I hope this helps
