General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

you might want to have it checked by a physician, preferably by a pediatrician or a general surgeon, since it's already been a year and it's still there. it could be a recurrent infected cyst or an abscess.. the wound might need drainage or antibiotic treatment as directed.

advise your son also on maintaining proper hygiene and dry the area after taking a bath.

hope this helps.

good day!
