Hello and welcome to HCM,
Sebaceous glands when irritated and painful result in formation of sebaceous cysts.
Accumulation of sebum (secretion of sebaceous glands) in ducts of sebaceous glands can get infected and inflamed and thus turn painful.
However, clinical assessment of the lesions is required to assess whether the lesions are due to enlargement and irritation of sebaceous glands.
Painful lesions of this kind can be due to boils or furunculosis also.
I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment, diagnosis and thus management.

Thanks and take care
