What Causes Painful Nipples?

Hi I m in my 50th year and for just over a week now I have had very painful nipples. My breasts hurt too if I move quickly or dance. I had a hysterectomy when I was 34 and a year later I had an overy removed due to a large cyst. I have never had any menopausal symptoms so I was wondering if this is one.

hello there.thank you for your query..
pain in nipples or tender breasts can be due to hormonal disbalance.I will suggest you to do your self breast exam .Look for any nodularity if it is there. Also you can visit your gynecologist and she can help you out.
