What Causes Painful Lymph Nodes In The Neck?

The doctors say after they count 15 lymphnodes in my neck & after 15 that they just quit counting. I ve several that I didn t know what they were but they ache & hurt to touch. I went in for surgery & they took an inch plus lymphnode off my gland & didn t take out the ones that I was complaining about for 2 years. Any advice on how to get them eased from pain & constant aching?

Hello,
If possible could you please tell us about the lab reports of the lymph nodes obtained after your surgery.
The most common cause of painful enlarged lymph nodes is infection. Since you mentioned 2 years, it is possible that it could be tuberculosis(TB).
You can try paracetamol for the pain but knowing the root cause of your enlarged painful lymph nodes is very important.
