What Causes Painful Lump On The Testicle?

I have a rock hard knot in my left testicle sack, about the size of a ping pong ball. It is very painful, especially when I get up or sit down, and walking.
I have been trying to have stones removed for a few months, from my bladder, and kidneys. I've had an enlarged prostate for years now, at least 10 years.
I am a type 2 diabetic, with high blood pressure, arthritis, gurd, (acid reflux), cholesterol issues, I weigh 248lbs, I'm 5'10", my pinky finger on my left hand is partially numb, with tingling and pain running up my arm, constantly and I just turned 62 this past august. But I do a great deal of walking.
They wont operate, to remove the stones, because they say I have an infection in my testicles, which they believe may have been caused by the stones. This came from just looking at my testicles. I don't know if they can get that from just looking at it.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted your history and understood your concerns since you have multiple problems namely high blood pressure, arthritis, GERD, High Cholesterol, obesity, urinary problems, pinky finger of left hand going numb and so on.
Now have a problem of rock hard knot in left testicle sac.
I would suggest the following:
Get an ultrasonography of the scrotum.
If there is an indication you may need a Surgery as per the cause found.
Since this is painful, the probable reasons can be infected hydrocele, epididymo-orchitis. and so on.
I find this answer helpful
