What Causes Painful Lump In Between Breasts?

I have had a small lump in between my breasts for many years now. It is ingrown (you can t see it but you can feel it and it is very hard). In the past it has only caused me discomfort when I had applied pressure to it but recently it hurts all the time. What could this possibly be? Should I be worried? Do I need to get it examined? Thank you.

HI,
I understand your concern.
Lump in barest can from anything from it's tissue. From your discription it seems to be fibro adnema breast. It is usually a chronic condition& responds well to medicines. Rarely it needs tro be removed..
I my view, any long standing lump needs to be consulted for/investigated
Specially when it is causing symptoms.
Thanks.
