What Causes Painful Lump In Armpit?

I m a 16yr old female with CVID, I recieve plasma infusions. I have a sharp, stinging pain in my right armpit, so I pressed on it lightly looking to see if it was swollen or anything. While pressing on it i felt a pea sized lump under the skin, when pressed on the pain intensified. Also when i lift my arm the pain worsens. Is this something i should be worried about?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have enlarged axillary lymphnode. It can be due to reactive hyperplasia, tuberculosis or lymphoma. Or you may have some cyst or lipoma. You should go for fine needle aspiration cytology or biopsy of that lump. It will give you exact diagnosis. Then you should take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have any doubts then contact me at bit.ly/Drsanghvihardik, I will be happy to answer you.
