Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear parents
If your son is having leg pains and his ASO titre is very high then he has got acute thematic fever. It is caused by streptococcal infection of throat. Had he suffered from sore throat around 1 month before leg pains? Does he have palpitations? If yes than it further gives hint for acute rheumatic fever. Please take a visit to physician or cardiologist to assess cardiac involvement. He will require penicillin injections every 21 days and and course of aspirin. His leg pains are mostly temporary and will disappear after treatment.
