General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern.
Pain at initial penetration may be treated when the cause is identified.
Some advices that I can give to you are :
- Over-the-counter lubricants and moisturizers can be helpful
- estrogen vaginal cream is recommended in case of atrophy.
I suggest you to visit a gynecologist to determine the cause of the symptoms.
Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help!
Regards, Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi
