Hi, Im in a long distance relationship with my boyfriend and we had sex quite some times before i left for london last year in september. but this summer when i went back and we tried to have sex it hurt. it hurt when he fingers me as well. why could this happen? thanks
Painful intercourse could be due to many reasons such as a urine or vaginal infection. However from the history provided it seems that you have "vaginismus". When a woman has vaginismus, her vagina's muscles squeeze or spasm when something is entering it, like a tampon or a penis. It can be mildly uncomfortable, or it can be painful. Doctors don't know exactly why vaginismus happens. It's usually linked to anxiety and fear of having sex. Some women have vaginismus in all situations and with any object. Others have it only in certain circumstances, like with one partner but not others, or only with sexual intercourse but not with tampons or during medical exams. Kegel exercises have proven to help improve vaginismus. However, should this fail you should seek medical advice from your doctor
