What Causes Painful Intercourse After A Hysterectomy?

I AM 55 Y.O. I HAVE HAD A HYSTERECTOMY 10 AGO, MY SPOUSE AND I DON T HAVE MUCH SEX. BUT WE HAVE TRIED TWICE IN THE LAST MONTH. WHEN I TELL YOU IT HURT REALLY REALLY BAD, I DON T THINK I WANT TO HAVE SEX ANYMORE EVER. NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT I WAS THE ONE LEFT BLEEDING. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON WITH MY VJJ?

I can understand your concern.
Post hysterectomy and post menopause(55 years),there are certain hormone changes (low estrogen, low progesterone).
These changes will cause dryness of vagina.
So sexual intercourse will be painful because of dryness of vagina.
So consult gynecologist and start lubricant gel before Intercourse.
Hormonal pills and injections are also beneficial.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
