What Causes Painful Inflamed Lump In Between The Spine And Scapula?

Unlike a lot of the questions here, I have a very painful , burning lump between my spine and upper part of my scapula. It seems firm, not squishy, like I am reading about a lipoma. Its about 5cm round. Not affected by my shoulder movement. I do have RA and wondering if it could be related. Any idea?
