What Causes Painful Hip With Frequent Dislocation Of Hip Bone?

My left hip hurts when I walk and sometimes snaps out of place and needs to be guided back into place. I can not reach my left foot to put on socks or do up boots or shoes because it hurts too much. Sometimes the skin outside of my hip is warmer than the rest of my body. i have to lift my leg into the car because I do not have the strength in the leg to lift it on it s own.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

You clearly have vulnerable hip joint probably requiring physiotherapy or even surgery. Injury to the sciatic nerve and also avascular necrosis of the head of the femur can result due to these frequent dislocations and so I would strongly recommend consulting an orthopaedic surgeon to reach a more safe and amicable solution to your issue.

Best wishes.
