What Causes Painful Chest Spasms?

I have chest spasms that are very painful. It started about a week ago and my peck muscles tighten up and last for a few minutes at a time. My wife puts muscle rub on it and heating pad it helps but I keep getting the spasms through out the day and evening. It wakes me up in the middle of the night where it hurts so badly and I try to strech it out and my wife rubs my chest but it feels like its getting worse. It doesnt feel like its in my inner chest just all around both sides of outer peck area but mostly on my leftside and now my upper muscle of my left arm. It almost feels like a bad cramp. Im sorry I cant pay for your answer, I dont have the resources to do so, please need hel

I have read your question, as the pain and discomfort is more on the left side kindly get cardiac evaluation as the pain in this region can often be misleading. If cardiac evaluation comes normal you will respond to physiotherapy.
