What Causes Pain While Swallowing After A Neck Injury?
Hi, I was driving my motorcycle when a cable that was carelessly tied between the two ends of the street hit my neck . luckily the cable cut leaving only bruises on my neck. for the first 2 days swallowing food or water was painfull but it got better with time. My question is, is it normal that after 2 weeks i can still feel a bit of pain when i swallow ? Thank You
Hi, Welcome to HCM, The injury could have caused caused damage to the soft tissues of the neck and the time taken for symptoms to come down is depends upon the nature and severity of trauma..since you are not having any voice change and breathing difficulty..looks like minimal trauma impact...it may take another a week or so...nothing to worry.. take tablet diclofinac 75 mg when ever needed for pain relief...get well soon...take care while driving....
