What Causes Pain On Right Side Of Back Inspite Of Taking Aleve And Tylenol?

I am experiencing pain in my back on the right side below the shoulder blade, what could be causing it? I have taken Aleve, Advil, Tylenol, and Flexeril along with applying heat to the area and the pain will not go away. Taking a deep breath hurts, sitting hurts, laying down hurts, standing hurts after a short period of time. The pain is constant and stays in the same spot at all times. What could it be and should I be concerned?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

We cannoy ascertain the cause without a more elaborate evaluation, but causes could include muscle spasms, gastrointestinal abnormalities causing pain in the back which will also present with various other gastric symptoms, posture related abnormalities, and so on. Please speak to your doctor for a more elaborate evaluation as most of the primary care advise seems to be ineffective.

Best wishes.
