What Causes Pain On Butt Cheek Radiating Down The Leg?
hi my name is byanca i am 25 years old. i nhave been feeling this pain on my butt check shooting down my legs and it is veyr painful and has been getting more painful. yesterday i felt a lump in between my front and my butt. i specialize in ingrown hair removals and i am sur it is not an ingrown because it is inside way under any skin
You could have sciatica. The sciatic nerve is a large nerve arising from the lower spinal cord. The nerve comes into the leg at the butt cheek and goes down the back of the leg to the foot. It can get pinched or inflamed and cause quite severe pain. The pinching may be caused by a problem in the vertebrae in the lower back, such as a slipped disc. Muscle spasms in a particular muscle in the butt cheek can also pinch or irritate the nerve. When the pinching is very severe, you can get numbness, tingling, and muscle weakness in the affected leg. I'm not sure what the lump could be or its location as you describe it. It could also be spasms in a muscle that comes from the back and extends around to the front. See your doctor if it continues to get worse. You are right- it is not an ingrown hair.
