What Causes Pain In Wrist While X-ray Report Is Normal?
Hello. I am experiencing pain in my right wrist for over two years now. I can t remember exactly how it started. When I push myself up from a sitted position and bend my wrist there is a pain there. I also massage people for a job and I can t apply any pressure downwards and the pain is really bad. I don t have any limited range of motion other then when I do move the wrist it always clicks. I have no swelling, brushing or redness in the area. I have taken NSAIDs, applied ice and heat. I have had a X-ray done and the nurse said there is no visable breaks or fractures. I don t know what else I can do. Please can you help me on what you think it could be? Thank you
thanks for consultation. wrist pain with out trauma is mostly due nerve entrapment phenomenon. Xray wrist are normal. Is it radiating to thumb and first finger? advice: 1.take less salt. 2.Try to elevate at night on pillow. 3.wrist splint during night and remove at day time. 4.nerve conduction study. 5.If the diagnosis is confirmed of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome then surgery is good option. 6.follow up with orthopedic surgeon if all fails.
