What Causes Pain In Vagina During Intercourse?

OK this is embarrassing...but...recently my husband and I resumed our sexual relationship after a 15 year break! It was wonderful. However, it was quite painful for me and I had never had that problem between us in the past. Have things changed down there from lack of use?

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
The source of pain during/after sex is usually the cervix — the narrow, lower end of the uterus. Even with a completely healthy cervix, enough friction or lack of lubrication during sexual intercourse can cause pain.
Natural lubrication of vagina decreases with age. This is a normal phenomenon. So you should use water-based lubricants during sex. They are easily available in market. You can also communicate with your husband to be gentle.
Lack of foreplay also decreases natural lubrication of vagina. so you should not rush into sex.
If problem persist visit a gynaecologist

Don't worry you would be fine
Hoping your query is solved.
