About 1.5 weeks ago I hurt my back, although I felt no pain until the next morning. I was lifting weights, and I think what happened is during a shoulder press I leaned too far back. I have a pain in my upper lumbar/lower thoracic (can t tell) region. It is 100% pain free until I either hyperextend my back fully or round it fully. When I hyperextend my back, I feel a bruise like pain, similar to when I bruised my tailbone up (although not nearly as painful). I have the bruise feeling when I press on the disc as well. I cannot tell if it is a disc or muscular injury. It hasn t gotten much better over the time I ve had it. The pain isn t bad at all, I can still lift normally (but I m taking it light just incase), but I m scared it s a disc injury. I have no numbness/tingles/any nerve related symptoms. Just wondering if this sounds like a muscle strain of some sort, I don t want to mess with my back! If I had a disc injury, would I know?
