What Causes Pain In The Throat While Swallowing?

I have swollen glands in my neck, especially on the left side. My throat is not scratchy but it hurts to swallow -- more like it s because of the swollen glands. Also, my nasal cavities deep toward the back of my throat are congested feeling. Almost feels clogged. My nose is not runny at all and I m not sneezing or coughing. I DO feel like at times like I m running a slight fever. Please advise.

How old are you?
Your symptoms sound like that of Acute Pharyngitis, with fever, swollen gland ( Lymphnode) and painful swallowing. The discomfort at the back of the nose, usually in the morning is because of nasopharyngitis.
If your problem is for long duration or recurrent , it can often be Chronic or an Allergic pharyngitis.
For older age group, they may need to consult an ENT doctor, as other causes might be there.
