What Causes Pain In The Throat Upon Intake Of Warm Food?

I ate some hot (as in temperature hot not spicy) on Saturday last week. My windpipe now feels burned. I drank some cold water immediately which did ease the burning feeling but now when I drink anything warm (tea or coffee primarily) it hurts. What can I do?
